Yeti Nation...
As we return to hosting events, our priority is to put on safe, enjoyable, and physically challenging races. Below are the guiding safety principles and event modifications we’re making to ensure a safe, abominable event for everyone.
All Racers will be required to pass a Health Screening prior to entry of the event. These health screenings will be conducted offsite prior to entry into the event location. The medical check will include:
Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius) will be subject to additional screening and will be asked to leave if the conditions persist.
Capacity will be limited to 25% of standard capacity, based on state and federal guidelines. No onsite registration will be permitted.
Racers will be released to the course, 10 every 5 mins to ensure ample distancing on the course.
Social distancing: please maintain six feet of separation from others. There will be lots of signage stating this message, but ultimately, this is incumbent upon participants.
ASR staff will regularly clean and sanitize all customer touch-points throughout the day, particularly in high traffic areas, at restrooms, tables, handles, and more.
Sanitizer will be available for use throughout the event, including throughout the Festival, after every challenge stations and in and around portable toilets.
Adjustments will be made in order to reduce physical interaction between racers and staff. This includes, touchless registration, and self-serve bag drop.
STAFF: All event staff and volunteers will wear face coverings, and maintain proper social distancing at all times.
RACERS: Wisconsin law mandates the use of face coverings. Racers are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering whenever possible, especially when within 6 feet of others.
Should the January 2021 event be forced to shut down, the event will be rescheduled to May 22, 2021 at the same location (Lake Geneva Canopy Tours in Lake Geneva, WI).
You have the option to transfer to the May event at no charge, or convert your race entry to virtual, where you can complete the event as an individual or a small group onsite at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours on a day of your choosing (ASR will cover your course fee to Lake Geneva Canopy Tours).
If you transfer to the May event, and the May event is cancelled, then all racers will convert to a Virtual event, whereby you can either complete the race onsite at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours as an individual or small group, or on your own turf. For all virtual events, ASR will ship your swag directly to your home at no cost.
Visit our COVID-19 Page to learn more about our Race Day COVID-19 Safety Protocols and to download our Race Day Safety Guidelines.
If you’re unable to attend the event for any reason, you may transfer your race to another racer to receive a refund. Learn more about how to transfer your race here. If you have any questions, please write in to mail@abominablesnowrace.com. ASR does not provide refunds or transfers directly.
Yes, you can convert your race entry to a Virtual Format and complete your challenge on your own turf and at your own pace (must complete by Feb 28, 2021). To convert your race to a Virtual Format:
